Gators Trio Secures SEC Weekly Honors

Jadan Baugh was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career in addition to honors for specialist London Montgomery and offensive lineman Bryce Lovett.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Three Florida Gators garnered SEC Weekly honors from the conference office on Monday following the team's 52-28 victory over No. 4 Ole Miss, highlighted by running back Jadan Baugh's first-career SEC Offensive Player of the Week nod while London Montgomery was tabbed Special Teams Player of the Week and Bryce Lovett the Offensive Lineman of the Week.
For Montgomery and Lovett, Monday's announcement marks the first SEC Weekly honors of their careers. The three Gators collected recognition following Florida's highest-ranked win in 11 years and most points (52) against a top-five team since beating FSU in the 1996 National Championship game.
Baugh's first SEC Offensive Player of the Week accolade comes on the heels of his fifth-straight, 100-yard rushing game, gashing No. 4 Ole Miss for 142 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 29 carries while adding one reception for 12 yards. In Week 4, Baugh led all FBS players with 11 rushing first downs and also rattled off 103 yards after contact. Baugh has rushed for over 135 yards and multiple touchdowns in all four games, holding status as the only FBS player to accomplish the latter in 2026.
On pace to break the program record for rushing yards and SEC record for rushing touchdowns, Baugh leads the FBS in in rushing touchdowns (11), total touchdowns (11), scoring (16.5), total points scored (66), PFF rushing grade (92.6), PFF offensive grade among running backs (88.6), missed tackles forced (34), rushing first downs (29) and PFF grade for HandsFumble (86.1). Baugh's 600 rushing yards are the most ever by a Gator through the first four games and he is the fastest Gator to 10 rushing touchdowns in a season (3.5 games). The junior halfback has recorded 486-consecutive touches and 432-straight rushes without a fumble entering Week 5.
As for Montgomery, the first-year Gator finished with three kick returns for 128 yards against No. 4 Ole Miss for an average of 42.7 yards per return. One kick after posting a 41-yard return in the third quarter, Montgomery ripped off a career-long return of 74 yards, representing the second-longest in the SEC this season and the longest by a Gator since Solomon Patton in 2013 at Missouri (100 yards). Montgomery's 128 kick return yards are the most in a single game by an SEC player this season, making Florida one of two FBS to lead its conference in both single-game kickoff return yards and punt return yards. The Scranton, Penn. native also added one carry for three yards in the victory.
Starting at left tackle for the fourth-straight game to begin the season, Lovett delivered an 85.1 PFF pass blocking grade across 69 total snaps in Week 4. The Rockledge, Fla. product turned in a 100% block rate, as he did not surrender one single quarterback pressure or hurry. His performance paved the way for the Gators to explode for 302 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns against No. 4 Ole Miss, signifying Florida's highest rushing total vs. an SEC team since Nov. 11, 2022 vs. South Carolina (374). Lovett and the Florida offensive line concluded Week 4 with zero sacks allowed, one tackle for loss and one quarterback hurry.
Off to an unprecedented start with the most points scored (214) and second-largest scoring differential (plus-123) by any UF coach through his first four games, Head Coach Jon Sumrall has guided No. 8 Florida to 4-0 for the first time since 2019. Sumrall and the Gators look to rise to 5-0 this upcoming Saturday in Columbia, Mo., when they take on the 25th-ranked Tigers at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
