Jadan Baugh rushed 29 times for 142 yards and three touchdowns in the 52-28 win over No. 4 Ole Miss.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Fresh off being tabbed the SEC Offensive Player of the Week for his standout performance against No. 4 Ole Miss, Florida running back Jadan Baugh added another accolade to his resume on Tuesday as the National College Football Awards Association named him the Doak Walker National Running Back of the Week.
Week 4 marks the first time Baugh has received the honor, which is awarded weekly by the NCFAA to the top running back in the country.
Leading Florida to its highest-ranked win in 11 years and most points (52) against a top-five team since 1996, Baugh gashed Ole Miss for 142 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 29 carries for his fourth-straight game with at least 135 rushing yards and multiple scores to open the season. Adding one reception for 14 yards in the victory, Baugh led all FBS players with 11 rushing first downs and rattled off 103 yards after contact thanks to seven missed tackles forced. Baugh's dominance powered the Gators to 302 total rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns in the Week 4 victory, signifying Florida's highest rushing total vs. an SEC team since Nov. 11, 2022 vs. South Carolina (374).
Baugh has rushed for over 100 yards in five-straight games dating back to last season, holding status as one of three Gators to accomplish the feat all-time (Fred Taylor, Emmitt Smith). The Atlanta, Ga. native has recorded 486-consecutive touches and 432-straight rushes without a fumble entering Week 5. He is the only FBS player to rush for multiple touchdowns in all four games this season.
On pace to break the program record for rushing yards and SEC record for rushing touchdowns in a season, Baugh leads the FBS in in rushing touchdowns (11), total touchdowns (11), scoring (16.5), total points scored (66), PFF rushing grade (92.6), PFF offensive grade among running backs (88.6), missed tackles forced (34), rushing first downs (29) and PFF grade for HandsFumble (86.1). Baugh's 600 rushing yards are the most ever by a Gator through the first four games and he is the fastest Gator to 10 rushing touchdowns in a season (3.5 games). Baugh's 11 rushing touchdowns are tied with Najee Harris (2020) and Leonard Fournette (2015) for the most through four games by an SEC player since 1992 conference expansion.
Off to an unprecedented start with the most points scored (214) and second-largest scoring differential (plus-123) by any UF coach through his first four games, Head Coach Jon Sumrall has guided No. 8 Florida to 4-0 for the first time since 2019. Sumrall and the Gators look to rise to 5-0 this upcoming Saturday in Columbia, Mo., when they take on the 25th-ranked Tigers at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

Fans can purchase single-game tickets for home contests against South Carolina (Oct. 10), Oklahoma (Nov. 7), and Vanderbilt (Nov. 21).
