The University of Florida team lived up to its No. 1 ranking as it registered a 15-stroke victory over the 18-team field at the fourth NCAA Women's Golf Championship. Florida opened the tournament with an eight-stroke advantage and watched the lead grow as the tournament progressed. Senior standout Deb Richard finished in a three-way tie for second place at 299, one stroke away from the champion Danielle Ammaccapane of Arizona State. UF freshman Karen Davies took fifth place with a 301.
