Opening Statement:
"We had a wonderful weekend playing the defending champs last night and then coming and playing FAU. It was a great game. We put everything and left it on the field, and I'm very proud of my young ladies. They stepped up; it's just that things didn't go our way on hits and also on defense. Other than that, to be MEAC champs and come out here and represent the school and the conference, I'm very proud."
On preparation for the 2016 season and what FAMU plans to accomplish:
"I just spoke with them in the huddle about offseason, which is really important and very crucial, so once we sit down and talk and do our interviews, they will make a decision with what they have to do for offseason. Our objective is always to make it to the regionals and next make it to the super regionals, without a doubt. This is the team that could get it done with the recruits that we're bringing in. Kenya (Pereira) will be a junior and Jessica (Nathan) will be a senior, so I have some great leadership. I'm pretty sure you guys will see us again."

Can you talk about this experience? This year in the NCAA tournament, I know it didn?t start yesterday but going in things started to be going pretty good up until the later innings so how did you and the team feel coming into today?s game?
?I feel like we felt better in today?s game. We faced FAU in February, and our team has grown since February. Even though it was a tough game then, we prepared ourselves from then to now. I felt really comfortable, and we had scouting reports and everything, so I felt like we were in a really good position.?

The home run lady of the day, what did you see, did it just look like that was the hit you always look for? Or did everything just fall into place?
?I never really go up to bat thinking I am going to hit a home run, but I had two balls on me, and a lot of the time I know that pitchers usually like to throw a fat pitch when they get behind on the count. So I just took a deep breath and prepared to hit the ball. I like low pitches too, so it was definitely low, and I usually hit it.?
