Student Basketball FAQs

How do I claim a ticket for basketball games?
Please go to https://am.ticketmaster.com/gators/en/buy/studentpass2425 to claim your student pass. A non-transferable student pass will be loaded on to your account and will be visible 24-72 hours prior to each game's tip-off. Entry is first-come first-served and is not guaranteed as all active students will have a student pass.

Can I give my student pass to someone else?
No. Student passes are non-transferable. If you do not plan on attending the game, you can simply ignore the pass.

Can I purchase guest tickets?
Yes, based on availability, you will be able to purchase up to two guest tickets for each game at Gate 3 upon arrival at the game. Guest ticket information can be found here.  Guest passes will not be available for games that have been announced as Sold Out to the general public.

What do I need to get into the game?
Your valid Gator1 ID and mobile pass is required to get into the game. Your student pass will automatically be loaded onto your account. Be sure to save it to your phone's digital wallet!

Do I have to be in the game by a certain time? Tip-off?
Entry is not guaranteed as all active and eligible students will have a student pass. If you want to attend the game, it is best to arrive early.

What gate do I enter and what time will the gates open?
Gate three (3) of the Stephen C. O’Connell Center is the designated Student gate. This gate will open 90 minutes prior to tip-off.

How many UF credit hours do I need to be registered to attend free as a student? Does the football 6-credit hour rule apply?
ALL students (undergraduate and graduate) must maintain at least one (1) UF credit hour to be able to attend a Gator Basketball game.

I’m a UF Online/PACE Student, am I eligible to attend free as a student?
If you have opted in to pay the student fees, yes you may attend for free. All the fee information can be found here. If you have not opted in to pay those fees, you may pay to attend and be able to sit within the student section. You will register just as a fee paying student, and then within 24 hours of tip-off you may pay for that ticket. More information here.

Do I have to wait in line to get into a game?
More than likely. Since the student section has limited seating you are not guaranteed admission.

Can I sit in the lower level? How? Upper level? How?
You may sit in any part of the student section, lower or upper. However, there’s a limited number of seats in the lower level so it is recommended you line up at Gate three (3) well before the start of the game. If you do not have a seating preference, you may come and sit in the upper level.

How can I sit with my friends?
You and your friends must all come to Gate three (3) of the O'Connell Center together to line up and then enter the game together.

How am I eligible for post season tickets?
Post season eligibility varies from year to year. The ticket office will email out details on eligibility requirements for each round of the NCAA Tournament.

Are seats general admission or reserved?
ALL student seats are general admission, first-come, first-seated in the designated student sections. The student tickets are: 09, 11, 13, 15 in the lower level, and 206 - 217 in the upper level.

What are the procedures for students needing ADA seating?
Students with wheelchair and/or accessible seating needs for men’s basketball will need to enter through Gate 3 which is the Student Gate. If a guest/companion ticket is needed, they will need to be purchased at the box office located inside of Gate 3 once the doors open and students enter the building. Wheelchair and companion seats are located in sections 211 and 213, which are side court and part of the student section. In order to access sections 211 and 213 from Gate 3, students will need to use the elevator located near the practice court (enter the concourse and make a left). The elevator will let customers off at the top of section 121, students will need to make a right off the elevator and travel around the concourse until they arrive at sections 211 and 213. Students will be directed to specific seats within these sections when checking in at the box office in Gate 3.
