Preliminary Review
The RSC will review completed proposal during January, May, and September of each year.
After proposal review, the Principal Investigator (PI) will receive an e-mail letter stating denial, preliminary approval, or the need for further clarification.
IRB approval
UF faculty, staff, and students may use theÂ
IRB Approval Determination Tool to see if their research qualifies for an automatic determination of nonhuman research, exempt research, or non-medical quality improvement project status. If IRB Approval is necessary, then sub-committee on Medical Advisory Committee will review.
IRB Approval Determination Tool
If the research sub-committee gives a preliminary approval for a project, they will generate a letter for submission by the PI to the Institutional Review Board (IRB). Final approval is dependent on the appropriate IRB approval (UF IRB, WIRB, or on occasion other institutions IRB).
