HIGH SCHOOL: Infielder from Columbia High School who played for head coach Greg Gillman… The Tigers claimed their third district championship and had their second 20-plus win season in school history in 2010… Tillotson was rated No. 22 in the state of Florida according to Prospectswire.com, No. 4 among shortstops… Ranked No. 37 in the state of Florida in the Class of 2010 Final Rankings from Perfect Game… Named high honorable mention on Rawlings’ Preseason All-America Team and was chosen first-team Big School on The Gainesville Sun’s All-Area team… Batted .358 with 25 runs, 17 RBI and four homers and was 3-0 with a 0.00 earned run average in 15.2 innings with 28 strikeouts as a closer for the Tigers… Member of the 2007 USA 16-U National Team that captured the gold meal at the World Youth Championship in Barquisimeto, Venezuela… Was teammates with current Gators Nolan Fontana, Austin Maddox and Steven Rodriguez… Combined on a one-hitter with Fontana during a 15-0 shutout of Columbia… Over two appearances on the mound, Tillotson was 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA, allowing one hit in five innings of work… The righty limited opponents to a .063 batting average and registered five strikeouts… He also scored a pair of runs during the tournament.
