PRIOR TO FLORIDA:
O'Neal was a three year starting quarterback at Kathleen High School… As a junior, threw for 1,963 yards and 18 touchdowns and ran for six more touchdowns to lead the Red Devil offense… Led his team to an 11-1 season but did not get a chance to go to the playoffs… Saw limited action as a senior due to injury, compiling 555 passing yards and nine touchdowns and adding three rushing touchdowns… Named the Lakeland Ledger Big School Player of the Year Runner-Up… As a sophomore was named Honorable Mention All-County Quarterback… As a junior was awarded Second Team All-County… Awarded Best Quarterback Award at Schumanns recruiting combine and was invited to the Elite 11 Southern Region Competition… Was recruited by Western Kentucky, Nebraska and Michigan State.
