Kaleb Johnson

Kaleb Johnson enters his third season with Gators football after being hired in the role of quality control - offensive line prior to the 2023 season.  

Johnson joins Florida after spending the last three seasons (2020-22) at his alma mater, Rutgers, as a strength and conditioning assistant and offensive line performance liaison.

Prior to coaching, he played five years in the NFL with the Bears, Browns, Cardinals, Chiefs, Eagles, Ravens and Vikings. 

The Jacksonville, Fla. native was a four-year letter-winner for the Scarlet Knights from 2011-2014 and started in 50 straight games on the offensive line. He earned All-Big Ten Honorable Mention by both the media and leagues’ head coaches and Third Team All-Big Ten by Phil Steele his senior year. Also voted the Iroan Knight Award winner, presented to the player who has demonstrated an exceptionally high level of mental and physical toughness throughout their career.

He received multiple preseason recognition in his career, including both the Outland Trophy and Rotary Lombardi. Johnson started every game from his sophomore to senior season and collected All-BIG EAST Second Team honors in 2012. He began his collegiate career by being named a Freshman All-Aemrican by FWWA, Rivals and Phil Steele. 

Johnson earned his bachelor’s in psychology from Rutgers in 2015. He is the oldest of three boys with one brother an officer in the Navy and the other a football coach at Oklahoma State. Johnson also has a three-year-old daughter.
