- Member of the 2018 SEC Championship-winning team, scoring points in all three of his events.
- Finished 18th in the 500 free with a career-best time of 4:18.57 and placed 23rd in the 1650 free with another career-best time of 15:19.74
- Recorded a 24th place finish in the 400 IM, finishing with a time of 3:47.85
- Ended his freshman campaign at Florida’s Last Chance Meet where he posted a career-best time of 3:44.55 in the 400 IM
- Totaled two individual wins during the season
- Posted B-cut times in the 200 free (1:37.06), 500 free (4:18.57), 1650 free (15:19.74), 200 back (1:45.08), 200 IM (1:48.17) and 400 IM (3:54.49)

- Member of the Colombian National Team (has dual citizenship in the United States and Colombia)
- Participated in the 2017 Speedo Junior National Championships, competing in the 200m free, 400m free, 200m IM and 400m IM
- His best finish came in the 400m free, where he placed 12th with a time of 3:59.45
- He just missed the C final in both the 400m IM (4:32.50) and 200m free (1:53.97), finishing 25th and 26th, respectively
