Head Coach JC Deacon:
On Rounds 1 and 2:
“Our goal was to make sure that we had the best attitudes in the tournament, be the most patient and work really hard. We did that, and obviously it resulted in some good scores. I'm happy that the guys got some good results and built some confidence, but we have a big day tomorrow. We have to remain really focused on what we're trying to accomplish.”
On the team's focus for tomorrow:
“There is going to be a time this year when we need a really big final round, and tomorrow is a great chance to go out and prepare for that. I want us to be smart and to have a great attitude. Whether or not we have some ups and downs, we have to fight through it and make sure that we go out and put out a solid final round number.”
On specific golfers who stood out:
“I think everyone did a good job. Obviously, Sam (Horsfield) and Ryan (Orr) being at -4 each and Ale (Tosti) at -3 really helps the team, but everyone is contributing. Jorge (Garcia) came back again in the second round and really helped the team, so I'm happy with everyone's attitude and effort. If we keep getting better like this every day, we're going to be a tough team come May.”
