
Gators Finish Sixth at the Schenkel Invitational

Four Gators place in top 25 of leaderboard
STATESBORO, Ga. -- The Gators finished in to top six for the seventh time this season at the Schenkel Invitational.
Florida posted a 5-under round on the final day of competition moving past College of Charleston to finish sixth on the leaderboard.
Gordon Neale anchored the top of the lineup carding a 4-under 68 to finish tied for 12th in the competition. Over the final two days, Neale moved up 58 spots and was the Gators top finisher.
Neale carded just one bogey over the final 34 holes of competition.
Andy Zhang finished just one stroke back of Neale in a tie for 17th. Zhang shot 2-under par in the round on Sunday to leap up 12 spots on the leaderboard.
Blake Dyer, who was competing as an individual, tied Zhang for 17th after posting a final round of 4-under.
Freshman Chris Nido joined them in the top 25 of the leaderboard totaling a three round score of 215 (-1) to place 23rd in the event.

On play this week -- ""It's obviously a disappointing week for our team. Thankfully it came at a good time. I know this will serve as a proper wake up call. We need to be more prepared to play from the first hole on." - Coach JC Deacon
