
Gators set for NCAA Regionals in Austin

Florida looks to advance to 28th NCAA Championship
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gators are in Austin, Texas for NCAA Regional play with round one set to start Monday.
Florida will look to advance to the NCAA Championships for the 28th time in school history and fifth time under the direction of head coach Emily Bastel Glaser. The Gators will need to finish inside of the six in order to advance to the championships in Stillwater, Okla.
Florida is one of just 10 schools in the country to advance to NCAA Regionals every year since the format began in 1993.
The Gators are coming off of a quarterfinal run at the SEC Championships where they fell to eventual SEC Champions, Arkansas. The Razorbacks will be the region's top seed in Austin while Florida earned the No. 4 seed.
The regional will include four teams in total from the SEC as Florida and Arkansas are joined by No. 5-seed Auburn and No. 10-seed Texas A&M. There are 18 teams in total that make up the field in Austin.
Florida will start day one off the No. 10 tee as it is paired with Auburn and Oklahoma. The first tee time is set for 9:00 a.m. (ET).
Course Information: The tournament is being held at the Par 72, 6,341 yards The University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas.
Format: 54-hole stroke play where teams will play three rounds over first three days.

The Gators' Lineup
Perez slides into the No. 1 position after a top five finish at the SEC Tournament. That finish helped her earn All-SEC second team accolades.
Brooks was recently selected as an All-SEC second team member along with Perez. With a 71.50 stroke average, she is looking to set the new program record which was set by Maria Torres (71.71) last season.
Esborn moves up two spots in the lineup after tying for 30th at the SEC Championships. The SEC All-Freshman team selection was one of two for the Gators. This was the first time in program history two Florida freshmen were selected.
Baggarly has been in the Gator lineup for all but one tournament this season. She was recently named to the SEC All-Freshman team along with Esborn.
Tomlinson is set to take part in her fourth NCAA Regional with her top finish coming in 2016 placing 25th in Baton Rouge, La.
