PALO ALTO, Calif. – The Florida Gators men's golf team was led by senior Gordon Neale and sophomore Chris Nido in the opening round of The Goodwin, at Stanford.

After a bumpy start and two bogeys on his first three holes, Neale bounced back with four birdies on his second nine holes. Nido had a more balanced day on the links, with three birdies to cancel out his three bogeys. Both guys are tied for 11 on the leaderboard and carded even par scores of 70.

The Gators sit in 11th out of 27 teams and are in good position for round two tomorrow, beginning at 10:30 a.m. ET.
