Pair of Florida Gymnasts Graduate this Weekend

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Two All-American gymnasts – Victoria Nguyen and Payton Richards – become Gator graduates in this weekend's UF Commencement ceremonies.
The due receive their degrees in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center, the same arena they celebrated Florida's sixth consecutive Southeastern Conference team title earlier this season.
Richards becomes a double Gator grad this weekend. She graduated last fall with her bachelor's degree in Family, Youth and Community Sciences and adds a master's in Entrepreneurship this summer.
Both earned Academic All-SEC accolades throughout their Gator careers. Nguyen graduates cum laude.

Gator Grad Notes:
- Nguyen added two All-America honors in 2024 at the NCAA Championships to bring her career total to three. A three-time All-SEC gymnast, Nguyen set her collegiate all-around best (39.625) to win the 2024 Ameritas Master's Classic. A four-time SEC Academic Honor Roll and Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-American.
- Richards earned All-America honors on vault at the 2023 NCAA Championships. She matched her collegiate best of 9.95 to win the 2023 NCAA Pittsburgh Regional Final vault competition and matched her collegiate floor exercise best of 9.925 for the fifth time in 2024. Richards is a four-time SEC Academic Honor Roll recipient and also was part of the 2020 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.
