
Coach Amanda O’Leary to be Inducted into IWLCA Hall of Fame in 2026

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Lacrosse Head Coach Amanda O'Leary will be joining the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Hall of Fame in 2026, the IWLCA annoucned on Friday morning.
A native of Royersford, Pa., O'Leary is entering her 17th season at the helm of Gators and 31st season as a head coach. After spending 14 seasons at Yale, O'Leary came to Florida in 2007 and has coached the Gators Lacrosse team since starting up the program in 2010.
O'Leary has totaled 422 career wins so far in her career, which places her third among active NCAA Division I head coaches and sixth among all active NCAA head coaches. Her career winning percentage on .767% (422-128) puts her seventh among current NCAA Division I head coaches with a minimum of 10 years as a head coach.
During her time leading the Orange and Blue, O'Leary has captured 13 conference championships and 11 conference tournament championships, made the NCAA tournament 14 times, appeared in the NCAA quarterfinals nine times, and three NCAA Final Fours. She has also been named IWLCA All-South Region Coach/Coaching Staff of year twice (2011 and 2024) and conference Coach/Coaching Staff of the Year four times (2016-2018 in the BIG EAST and 2025 in the Big 12).
Over her 16 seasons with the Gators, O'Leary has coached five Tewaaraton Finalists, 44 IWLCA All-Americans, and her athletes have also earned 65 All-Conference Honors and 77 IWLCA All-South Region Honors, 46 of which have been first team honors.

O'Leary is joined in the 2026 IWLCA Hall of Fame Class by former Syracuse Women's Lacrosse Head Coach, and current Syracuse Men's Lacrosse Head Coach Gary Gait.
