GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Hilda Olemomoi has been named one of four finalists for the Honda Sport Award for Cross Country, the Collegiate Women Sports Awards (CWSA) Executive Director, Chris Voelz, announced Monday.
A senior from Trans-Mara, Kenya, Olemomoi becomes a Sport Award for Cross Country finalist for the third consecutive year. In the 2025 season, she helped the Gators to multiple first place team finishes while individually placing in the top ten in each of her four meets on the season. Most recently, the Gator took home a third place individual finish at the NCAA Cross Country Championship for the second year in a row, earning her USTFCCCA All-American Honors. Across indoor and outdoor track seasons, she has accumulated an impressive ten USTFCCCA All-American honors.
The announcement comes during a landmark moment for the organization, as the CWSA celebrates its 50th anniversary during the 2025–26 collegiate athletics season. For five decades, the Honda Sport Award has honored the nation's top women athletes in 12 NCAA-sanctioned sports, symbolizing "the best of the best in collegiate athletics."
