CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Sunday's series finale between No. 10 Florida and No. 17 Miami at Mark Light Field has been canceled due to inclement weather and will not be made up.
The Gators (11-1) conclude the weekend with a two-game series sweep over the Hurricanes (10-2), winning by scores of 7-2 and 8-4 across the first two matchups. Riding an 11-game winning streak, Florida reclaimed the all-time series advantage over Miami at 138-136-1 and will hold the lead into next season for the first time since the 1969-70 campaigns (29-28 record).
Florida's two-game sweep vs. Miami marks the Gators' sixth-straight series win against the Hurricanes in Coral Gables – last falling in 2014. The Orange & Blue has won five-consecutive series vs. Miami since 2022, and 11 of the last 12 series overall.
Dating back to last season, Florida has won nine-straight series – the longest-active streak in the SEC.
The Gators carry their longest win streak since the 2020 season into a 10-game homestand, beginning with a Tuesday matchup against FAU at 6 p.m. on SEC Network+.
