Florida Trio, Golden Add AP Honors
Tuesday, March 10, 2026 | Men's Basketball
Florida men's basketball added to its growing list of honors on Tuesday, as Rueben Chinyelu, Alex Condon and Thomas Haugh all earned Associated Press All-SEC recognition and Todd Golden garnered AP SEC Coach of the Year.
Haugh and Chinyelu picked up first-team accolades and Condon second-team honors. The trio is the first at Florida to earn both AP and Coaches All-SEC honors since 2014, when Casey Prather, Scottie Wilbekin and Patric Young did so. It is the sixth time the coaches and media have both put three Gators on an All-SEC team (1994, 2002, '04, '07, '14).
Golden also swept the SEC Coach of the Year honors, as the Gators' 16 league wins were the second-most in program history (18, 2014) and Florida cleared the SEC field by three games. Florida's +17.0 scoring margin in SEC action was the second-most by any team this century (Florida, +17.6, 2013).
The Gators next head to Nashville, where they hold the top seed in the SEC Tournament. Florida opens play in the quarterfinal round at 1 p.m. Eastern on Friday, facing either Missouri, Kentucky or LSU on ESPN.
