No. 4 Florida shoots low round, own three shot lead for final round

Paula Francisco logged a 67 (-5) this afternoon as the Gators are 11-under through 36-holes.
SUNSET, S.C. - The No. 4 Florida women's golf team carded the low round of the day (-2) to move into first place and own a three-shot lead for tomorrow's final round at the Clemson Invitational on Saturday.
Tomorrow's final round is scheduled for a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start. The Gators look to capture its fifth victory of the season, which would mark back-to-back seasons of five wins since 2015-16 & 2016-17.
UF shot a team round of 2-under to produce a 36-hole score of 11-under and own a three stroke lead over No. 8 Arkansas (-8) as No. 15 Vanderbilt (-6) is in third.
In 25 rounds this year for Florida, 14 have been for par or better and 13 under par.
Paula Francisco led the entire field with a 67 (-5) this afternoon in round two, which featured eight birdies. She climbed to T2 at 6-under and enters three shots back of the solo lead. Francisco has now shot 12 rounds under par and 10 in the 60s.
The next three UF golfers in the lineup are all in the top-15. Elaine Widjaja is 3-under in T6, Megan Propeck 2-under T8 and Siuue Wu even-par at T15.
