Softball Falls To Auburn; Erickson and Cahalan Receive Golden Tickets

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 4/7 Florida softball team (42-6, 15-5 SEC) dropped its second game of its three-game series to Auburn (23-21, 3-14 SEC) on Saturday afternoon, 4-0, at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
Despite out-hitting the Tigers 8 to 5, the Gators struggled to drive in runners in scoring position, leaving eight stranded.
On her Senior Day, Kendall Grover went 3-for-3, while Kenleigh Cahalan and Townsen Thomas accounted for both of Florida's extra base hits, each hitting doubles.
Leah Stevens (4-1) took the loss in the circle in her second SEC start, allowing two runs off a two-run home run with four strikeouts and three walks.
Olivia Miller pitched three innings in relief, allowing two runs on three hits with a strikeout.
Despite the loss, Jocelyn Erickson and Kenleigh Cahalan each received Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) Golden Tickets in a surprise post-game ceremony. The Golden Ticket, presented by Aliyah Andrews, signify that they have each been drafted to play in the AUSL.
Both Erickson and Cahalan will be selected in the 2026 AUSL College Draft on Monday, May 4, at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
The Gators will look to clinch the series against the Tigers on Sunday at 1 p.m. on SEC Network+.
