On today's win...
"Just like last Wednesday, two really good softball games and two really good teams. I thought both games had great crowds and great showings for both teams. It was good for us to get a win like that. I thought we did a really good job and made some good defensive plays, some good pitches and then a couple of timely hits. There's nothing better than Giulia Desiderio coming through at the end in another pinch-hit opportunity. She's done a really good job at being clutch for us." - head coach Tim Walton
On the team's identity...
"I think the cool thing is that you get to celebrate Giulia Desiderio. You get to celebrate Ella Wesolowski. You get to celebrate Kenleigh Cahalan. We have a new player of the game almost every other game. Each of them have really just done a great job of not getting too consumed and just playing ball and finding a way to do their jobs and keep getting better at it. Townsen Thomas is having one of the best freshman seasons. It's not easy. It's hard to be a freshman and she's doing a really good job. She's getting better and better and better and more confident. It has been probably the coolest things to see where Townsen Thomas was after the first week of the season to where she's at right now. She's made probably the biggest jump in all phases of the game." - head coach Tim Walton
On making the diving catch in left to end the game…
"It was awesome. The energy was great in the stadium. The team was really excited and Keagan and Liv pitched an amazing game. I went out there just having fun and trying to back them up the best we can and that just ended with a diving catch." - redshirt freshman Townsen Thomas
On how she and the team have continued to develop throughout the season to be successful…
"I mean, my teammates they're awesome. We all work really hard and the coaches prepare us for these moments and we're going to grind it out throughout the rest of the season. With the pitching staff we have, it's just fun." - redshirt freshman Townsen Thomas
On teammate Giulia Desiderio coming through with a pinch hit to score the game winning run…
"She's a great person and a great teammate. All I can say are good things about her. She's put into those situations a lot in practice, so I think for her, it really just helps her go out into the box and be like 'Hey, I know I'm going to get this done.' She has done that every time she's been put into those situations." - junior Keagan Rothrock
