Sands, Turner and Gators share lead at Calusa Cup

Parker Sands and Jack Turner shot an opening round of 68 (-4) as Florida is 5-under overall.

NAPLES, Fla. - The No. 3 Florida men's golf team along with Parker Sands and Jack Turner all share the lead through the opening round of the Calusa Cup on Sunday at Calusa Pines Golf Club.
Florida had a team round of 283 (-5) and are tied with Eastern Michigan and Louisville. Round two continues tomorrow followed by round three on Tuesday.
Both Sands and Turner opened the regular season finale with a 68 (-4) and are in a four-way tie for the solo lead. Sands, playing in the No. 1 spot this outing, made six birdies while Turner recorded his third eagle on the season at the par5 (627 yards) 13th.
Matthew Kress is tied for 14th behind an even-par 72 in his first set of 18-holes.
Luke Poulter and Zack Sanwick each shot a 75 (+3) to tie for the final counting round.
