King Garners Third All-America Nod from ABCA

Starting pitcher Aidan King has now been honored as an All-American by the NCBWA (First Team), Perfect Game (Second Team) and ABCA (Second Team).
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The American Baseball Coaches Association became the third major publication to honor Florida starting pitcher Aidan King as a 2026 All-American on Friday, tabbing the sophomore right-hander to the Second Team.
The ABCA joins the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (First Team) and Perfect Game (Second Team) in awarding King All-America status. If King receives honors from Baseball America and D1Baseball as well, he will be crowned a 2026 Unanimous All-American.
Below is a running list of all of Florida's All-America accolades from the 2026 season.
2026 Florida Baseball All-America Honors
Aidan King, SP – First Team (NCBWA), Second Team (ABCA, PG)
Caden McDonald, UT – Second Team (NCBWA, PG)
Becoming the first Gator underclassman to collect SEC Pitcher of the Year honors including the fourth in league history, King led Florida with eight wins, a 3.21 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 97.0 innings pitched while holding hitters to a .218 batting average. On the season, King fanned 92 batters against 19 free passes, equating to a 4.84 strikeout-to-walk ratio. In SEC action, he led all starters with a 0.89 WHIP, tied for the top spot in victories (six) and held hitters to a .184 batting average. As a true workhorse, King fired a team-high eight quality starts including six in SEC play – pitching into the seventh inning five times against SEC foes. His 62.0 SEC innings trailed only Alabama's Tyler Fay.
From April 3 through May 1, King delivered the most-dominant, five-week stretch by an SEC pitcher this spring. Facing Ole Miss, No. 3 Georgia, No. 13 Auburn, No. 7 Texas A&M and No. 15 Oklahoma, he went 4-0 with five-straight quality starts and a 1.51 ERA across 35 2/3 frames for an average of 7.1 innings per outing. As a result, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association voted him April's National Pitcher of the Month.
Finalists for the ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I Gold Glove Team will be announced by Rawlings on X on Monday, June 15. The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams for all divisions will be announced by Rawlings on X on Wednesday, June 17, while the ABCA/Rawlings Pitchers and Position Players of the Year will be announced on Monday, June 22.
The ABCA All-America Team was first recognized in 1949 and now spans nine divisions: NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I, II and III, the Pacific Association Division and high school. ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams were first recognized in 2007.
