Five Gators earn ITA Women's Tennis Scholar-Athlete honors

Florida honored as ITA All-Academic Team for 20th time
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) recently announced that Florida's Brooke Black, Nikola Daubnerova, Valery Gynina, Xinyi Nong and Lucie Pawlak earned 2026 Division I Women's ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for their performances in the classroom in 2025-26. This is the second such honor for Daubnerova who was named a 2025 ITA Scholar-Athlete as a freshman. The entire Gators' roster was also collectively honored as one of the ITA's All-Academic Teams.
In 2026, 1,501 Division I Women's student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, and 231 Women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for the current academic year.
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above on a 4.0 scale. Florida has been honored with an ITA All-Academic Team designation in 20 of the 23 years since the award was created.
On the court, the Gators finished the 2025-26 season ranked 18th in the nation advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. They posted a 17-8 overall record which included a 10-5 mark in SEC play.
