Florida Cross Country Heads to Indiana State for John McNichols Invitational

The John McNichols Invitational is the Gators second of three regular season meets
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Florida Gators Men's and Women's Cross Country teams continue their regular season slate as they head up to Indiana State for the John McNichols Invitational on Saturday. The meet will see 19 Gators (10 women and nine men) suit up across three races in Terre Haute.
On the women's side, they will split into two races, with the women's 6k championship race starting the day at 8:30 a.m. and the women's open taking place after the men's championship race at 9:40. Desma Chepkoech, Judy Chepkoech, Caroline Jepchirchir and Claire Stegall are primed to make their season debuts for the Gators as six Gators look to race in their second consecutive meet.
The men's 8k championship race, which starts at 9:05 will see Oussama Allaoui, Eliud Muchiri and the 2025 SEC Men's Individual Champion Kelvin Cheruiyot looking to make their season debut for the Gators in Terre Haute. Six more Gators will compete in their second consecutive meet for the Gators.
This meet gives the Gators a first look at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course, which is where the NCAA National Championships will take place later this year on Nov. 21.
