Competed in 10 meets as a junior (four indoor, six outdoor) … Collected her second SEC steeplechase title of career (winning first in 2009) with a time of 10:21.82 … Set the school steeplechase record for the third consecutive meet at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, taking fifth with a time of 9:59.44 … First Gator to run sub-10 minutes for the event … Earned All-America first-team honors for performance at NCAA Outdoors … Entered 2011 season with a career-best steeplechase time of 10:26.92 … SEC Academic Honor Roll … USTFCCCA All-Academic.

 

AS A SOPHOMORE (2010):

Competed in six meets (three indoor, three outdoor) during her sophomore campaign … Ninth in the 5,000m run at the SEC Outdoor Championship (5/16) in 17:01.42 … Placed third in the steeplechase at the 2010 SEC Outdoor Championship (5/15) in a season-best time of 10:30.12, scoring six points for her team … Was sixth in the steeplechase at the Penn Relays Carnival (4/22) in 10:35.83 … Finished in 12th place in the 1,500m run at the Pepsi Florida Relays (4/2) in 4:34.73 … Fourth in the 3,000m at the 2010 SEC Indoor Championship (2/27), running in a group of four Gators who placed among the event’s top six … Fifth in the 5,000m run at the SEC Indoor Championship (2/28) in a time of 16:56.03 … Competed in the mile at the Husky Classic (2/13) … Finished 11th at the Texas A&M Challenge (1/30) in the 3,000m run in 9:44.47 … SEC Academic Honor Roll.

Wins:4 (o) SEC Outdoor steeplechase champion (10:26.92); War Eagle Invitational 1,500m (4:20.90); Pepsi Florida Relays steeplechase (10:30.79) (i) SEC/Big 12 Showdown DMR (11:34.22) … Held the top steeplechase mark in the SEC during the 2009 season (10:26.92), second-best all-time in school history … Ranked on two other top-10 outdoor performance charts at Florida (1,500m – 7th and 5,000m – 6th) … Captured the 2009 SEC Outdoor steeplechase championship despite it being only the second time in her life she had participated in the event (10:26.92) … Is Florida’s freshman school record-holder in the steeplechase and 5,000m … Qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 5,000m, finishing 27th overall … Recorded the second-best indoor 5,000m time in school history with a second-place finish at the 2009 Alex Wilson Invitational hosted by Notre Dame (16:26.81) … Finished fourth in the 3,000m at the 2009 SEC Indoor Championships with a time of 9:25.10, good for seventh in the Gator record books … Finished third in the mile and ran a leg of UF’s winning distance medley relay team at the SEC/Big 12 Showdown in College Station, Texas … SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL/PREP:

Coached by David Howells … Took home three gold medals at the state championships for the 3K, 800m and 1,500m four consecutive years (2004-07) … Won gold at nationals in the 3K in 2004 and 2006 … Placed third in the 1,500m at the 2004 and 2006 Nationals … Holds four regional records for 3K, 800m, 1,500m and 2K steeplechase … Queensland state team won the national triathlon title in 2007 and AMS Triathlon Club was runner-up for the state title in 2005 … Also played touch football … State team won the national title in 2006 and Cobra club team took the title in 2007 … Captured the Player of the Tournament and State Finals in 2006 and 2007 … Won John Paul College’s Bradley Cup, given the best all-around athlete four years in a row (2004-07) … Most memorable moment of athletic career was placing sixth individually and having her team take fourth at the Cross Country World Schools’ Championship in Rioccione, Italy, in 2006.
