  • Scored 1,292 career points, averaging 12.3 per game for his career.
  • Averaged 12.8 points in 70 appearances with College of Charleston and 11.3 points in 35 games with the Gators.
  • Named the 2017 SEC Sixth Man of the Year as UF’s second-leading scorer while coming off the bench in all but one appearance.

2016-17, Redshirt Senior/Grad Transfer Season
  • Named CoSIDA Academic All-America of the Year, the top academic honor in the country, along with first-team Academic All-America honors.
  • Named SEC Sixth Man of the Year, the third Gator in team history to earn the award, joining Dorian Finney-Smith (2014) and Chris Richard (2007).
  • Set a Florida record with 42 straight free throws made.
  • His four 20-point games off the bench are the most in a season for a Gator and tied for the most by a Gator in his career (Anthony Roberson, Kenyan Weaks).
  • Posted 27 points in the overtime win vs. Georgia and then went for 30 at Auburn, the highest single-game scoring outputs by an SEC player off the bench this season and most by a Gator since Joakim Noah had 37 vs. UGA in 2006.
  • His 20 points vs. Seton Hall marked the first 20-point game by a Gator off the bench since Dorian Finney-Smith (vs. Tennessee, 2/28/15).
  • Added another 20-point performance in UF’s SEC home-opening win vs. Ole Miss.
  • Scored 17 off the bench to spark Florida’s offense in the win vs. Belmont, contributing eight points during a 16-0 second-half Gator run.

2015-16, Redshirt Junior Season (Charleston)
  • Averaged a conference-leading 19.7 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.
  • Named CAA Player of the Week three times.
  • Became only the second CofC player since 2012 to record 30+ points in a single game with three 30-point outings including a career-high 31 points at archrival Davidson (11/21/15) and versus South Carolina State in the season opener (11/13/15).
  • Registered 11 double-figure scoring games in only 13 games played.
  • Knocked down a game-high 19 points in a 70-58 upset of preseason Top-25 ranked LSU led by Ben Simmons (11/30/15) at TD Arena.
  • Ranked as high as No. 2 in the nation in scoring (28.0 ppg), before a season-ending shoulder injury.
  • Became the team’s second all-time first-team Academic All-American.
 
2014-15, Redshirt Sophomore Season (Charleston)
  • Played and started in all 33 games of the season averaging a team-leading 12.5 points and 1.2 steals per game.
  • Ranked 14th in scoring and 18th in rebounding (5.1) in the CAA.
  • Tallied 21 double-figure games including 14 of his last 18 contests of the season.
  • Scored in double figures in a career-best nine games in a row from Jan. 8 to Feb. 5.
  • Recorded his first career double-double with 16 points and a career-high 10 rebounds against UNCW (1/21/15).
  • Named a second-team Academic All-American.
  • CAA All-Academic Team selection for the second year in a row.
 
2013-14, Redshirt Freshman Season (Charleston)
  • Played in 24 games with 12 starts.
  • Earned his first career start at defending national champion and No. 3 Louisville scoring 10 points in his collegiate debut (11/9/13).
  • Selected as CAA Co-Rookie of the Week (11/18/13) after a 26-point performance in an 83-82 home win over Charlotte (11/12/13.
  • Came off the bench and knocked down a career-high 27 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field, 5-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc and 8-for-10 shooting from the foul line against Delaware (3/1/14).
  • Scored in double figures in 11 contests.
  • Ranked third among all CAA freshmen in scoring (9.6 ppg).
  • Named to the 2014 CAA All-Rookie Team and CAA All-Academic Team.
 
2012-13, Freshman Season
  • Redshirted the 2012-13 season.

  • Honored with the prestigious Fred Steinmark High School Athlete of the Year Award as selected by the Colorado High School Coaches Association (CHSCA).
  • Played in 19 games and averaged a team-leading 17.2 points, 1.1 blocks, 4.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.6 steals per game as a senior, prior to a season-ending ankle injury with four games remaining.
  • Led the Indians to a 16-9 overall record and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the State 4A Championship as a junior and was the team’s leading scorer averaging 13 points per game along with five rebounds per game and a 76.4 shooting percentage from the free throw line.
  • During a seven-game stretch during the middle of the 4A Metro season, he averaged 20.5 points.

Personal
  • The youngest son of NBA Hall of Famer Rick Barry and Lynn Norenberg Barry.
  • Born in Fort Wayne, Ind.
  • Is the fifth Barry son to play Division I basketball including half-brothers, Jon and Drew, who starred at Georgia Tech, half-brother, Brent, who starred at Oregon State, and half-brother, Scooter, who won a national championship title at Kansas in 1988.
  • His father, Rick, holds the distinction of being the only player to lead the NCAA, ABA and NBA in scoring and was named one of the 50 Greatest Players in history by the NBA in 1996.
  • His mother, Lynn, was a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-American player at The College of William & Mary from 1977-81. Lynn and Canyon are believed to be the only mother-son duo to both achieve that honor.
  • She is a member of the CoSIDA Academic All-America Hall of Fame, the William & Mary Athletic Hall of Fame in basketball and track, and is the only woman in school history to have her No. 22 jersey retired.
  • An underhand free-throw shooter like his father.
