National/International Competition:
Clocked career-best times in the 100-meter (1:06.12) and 200-meter (2:11.26) backstroke races at the 2015 New Zealand Time Trials… Currently a member of the New Zealand National Team (age group) since 2008 and National Team (open) since 2010… At the 2013 FINA World Championships in Barcelona, she finished 11th in the 50-meter butterfly (26.34), 20th in the 200-meter backstroke (2:12.89) and 23rd in the 100-meter butterfly (59.46)… Captured first place the 100-meter butterfly, second in the 50-meter butterfly and third in the 200-meter backstroke at the 2011 Commonwealth Games… Gained her first World Championships experience in 2011 in Shanghai, placing 32nd in the 200-meter backstroke (2:17.06), 39th in the 100-meter butterfly (1:01.92), 41st in the 50-meter backstroke (29.90) and 14th in the 400-meter freestyle relay… Has broken New Zealand record more than 100 times over her career.
At Florida
2015:
SEC Championships: Won the 200-yard breaststroke C-Final as she touched the wall in 1:55.49… Finished seventh in the 200-yard butterfly C-Final with a time of 2:01.20 and was a member of the Gators fifth place 200-yard medley relay team (1:37.12)… Placed seventh and eighth in the 200-yard backstroke (2:00.79) and butterfly (2:04.88) events in the Gators dual meet against Tennessee… Competed in four events in UF’s dual meet at Auburn… Made her UF debut in Florida’s dual meet at Florida State where she placed fifth in the 200-yard backstroke (2:08.53), eighth in the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.16) and was a member of UF’s runner-up 400-yard medley relay team (3:44.36).
Prior to Florida:
Competed her freshman season (2013-14) at the California before transferring to UF following the 2014 fall semester… Ranked the No. 22 recruit in the Class of 2013 by CollegeSwimming.com… Parents are John and Donna… Has one brother, George… Chose Florida over Texas, Auburn and Tennessee… Chose UF because she believes Coach Troy and his assistant coaches can help her reach her goals... Enjoys boating, wake boarding and being outdoors in his spare time.
