At Florida
2015-16:
Participated in all 10 regular-season meets as a newcomer… logged a season-best time in her collegiate debut, competing in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:12.60… made her SEC debut against Vanderbilt on Oct. 8, and clocked a season-best 25.82 in the 50-yard freestyle… swam a 100-yard breaststroke time (1:15.75) against Tennessee on Oct. 16, which ranked fourth among the Florida Women… her top time in the 1,650 free (17:11.10), achieved at the Buckeye Invitational on Nov. 20, ranked sixth-best among the Florida women in 2016… closed out her freshman campaign on a highnote with a season-best mark in the 200-yard fly on Feb. 27, touching the wall in a time of 2:03.33…
Prior to Florida:
According to CollegeSwimming.com, Martin is the No. 27-ranked recruit in the state of Florida. Martin represents Trinidad & Tobago internationally, as she competed for them at the Caribbean Island Swimming Championships this past summer. At the Championships, Martin placed first in the 200 IM (2:25.27) and 100 butterfly (1:04.17) in the 15-17 year-old age group. In addition, Martin joins Thomas Veale as the second swimmer from Pine Crest High School on the Gators.
