Justin Posthuma

Justin Posthuma enters his third season with the Gators after being named quality control - tight ends prior to the 2023 season. Entering the 2024 season he will be in the role of quality control - quarterbacks. 

Posthuma joins Florida’s staff following stretches at Southeastern Louisiana as an offensive analyst (2021) and at Austin Peay State as an offensive graduate assistant (2018-19).
 
He began his coaching career as the offensive coordinator for the Paris Mousquetaires (2015)
before joining the college football ranks.
 
Prior to becoming a coach, he played quarterback at UCLA (2010) and at Southeastern Louisiana (2013-14).
 
He additionally played two seasons at Pasadena City College (2011-12) and completed 60 of 126 passes for 799 yards and three touchdowns. He holds the school’s record for longest passing touchdown, which was 96 yards.
 
A native of Pasadena, Calif., Posthuma graduated with a bachelor of science degree from Southeastern Louisiana in 2014 and received his master of health and human performance degree from Austin Peay State in 2019.
 
Notable football players that Posthuma has helped develop include Greg Dulcich (St. Francis High School), Daniel Scott (St. Francis High School), Cole Kelley (Southeastern Louisiana), Trey Barry (Jacksonville State), Alexander Holllins (Eastern Illinois) and DJ Montgomery (Austin Peay State).
