
Gators to take part in 13th annual Nike Golf Collegiate

Round one of play set to begin Sunday in Oregon
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida heads out to North Plains, Ore. for the 13th annual Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational.
This will be the second year that the Gators compete in the event finishing just one stoke off the lead last year in Dallas, Texas.
Last season, Alejandro Tosti (3), Jorge Garcia (T8) and Gordon Neal (14) all finished the tournament in the top-15 and were the Gators top finishers.
This season Neale and Tosti return to the Gator lineup slotted as coach J.C. Deacon's No. 1 and No. 2 for the third straight tournament. After a career-low 63 in the final round of the Trinity Forest, Neale got the nod from coach Deacon as the No. 1 on the Gators starting five.
Making his Gator debut will be freshman Won Jun Lee. He is a two-time Rolex/AJGA All-American and was ranked No. 10 on the Golfweek/Sagarin Junior list upon his commitment to Florida.
Course Information: The tournament is being played at the Par 72, 7,015 yards at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club - Witch Hollow Course in North Plains, Ore. This is the 13th year of the tournament. The host of the 1996 U.S. Amateur Championship, the 1997 and 2003 U.S. Women's Open Championship; 2006 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship; and the LPGA's 2009, 2010 and 2011 Safeway Classic.
Format: 54-hole stroke play where teams will play three rounds over three days. The first 18-holes will be played on Sunday.
The Gators' Lineup
Gordon Neale
Neale moves into the No. 1 slot for the Gators after an impressive finish to the Trinity Forest. Neale poured in an eagle and six birdies on the final day to jump up 20 spots on the leaderboard. His second place finish helped the Gators win the event by 10 strokes.
Alejandro Tosti
The Gator senior continued his hot play at the Trinity Forest continuing his streak of sub-70 rounds with a 68 in round one. He would go on to finish tied for 20th individually.
Andy Zhang
After being inserted into the lineup in Dallas, Zhang helped the Gator capture the Trinity Forest title while also finishing tied for third individually at four-under-par.
Chris Nido
The freshman will be making his third start for the Gators this weekend after finishing T29 at the Trinity Forest. Nido carded a career-low 68 in round one of the Trinity Forest.
Won Jun Lee
This is the collegiate debut for Lee as coach Deacon slots the freshman into the No. 5 position in the starting five. He is a two-time Rolex/AJGA All-American and was ranked No. 10 on the Golfweek/Sagarin Junior list upon his commitment to Florida.
