Gators Maintain Strong Leads Following Day Two at Georgia Fall Invitational

ATHENS, Ga. – The No. 4/7 Florida swimming & diving programs extended both of their leads following day two of the 2025 Georgia Fall Invitational., held inside the Bulldogs' Gabrielsen Natatorium.
Florida totaled 18 NCAA qualifying marks, 10 top-three finishes and three program top-10 times, with 33 Gators advancing to the finals session. Josh Liendo and Anita Bottazzo delivered individual wins and NCAA cuts in the 100y butterfly (43.42) and 100y breaststroke (56.91), respectively. The men's 200y free relay capped the night with a first-place finish, as Devin Dilger, Liendo, Scotty Buff and Alexander Painter combined for a 1:15.19 to close out the session.
The relay's performance marked the tenth-fastest time in program history, while Grace Rabb added two top-10 marks of her own on the women's side. The freshman opened the finals session by taking third in the 100y fly with a 52.07, which marks the seventh-fastest time in school history. She then closed out the final individual event of the night with a 59.70 in the 100y breast to become the sixth-fastest Gator ever in the event.
The women added three more top-three finishes on the night. Julie Brousseau took second in the 400y IM with a 4:10.73, Lainy Kruger earned third in the 200y free with a 1:44.15 and Molly Mayne followed Bottazzo in the 100y breast in second place with a 59.12.
Diving
Gator diving delivered six NCAA qualifying scores on the day, highlighted by a dominant showing in the women's 1-meter. Maria Garcia swept the event, winning with a 328.10 in the finals after taking the top spot in prelims with a 325.40, while Camyla Monroy secured second with a finals score of 313.35. Alexa Fung and Casey Greenberg also advanced to the championship final, finishing sixth (268.50) and eighth (241.84), respectively. Ava Brinkman won the consolation final with a 261.50 to place ninth overall.
On the men's side, Conor Gesing led the way with a 375.00 finals score to secure third place. Jesus Gonzalez, who made his return to competition after missing the Gators' last dual meet vs. Georgia, finished fifth with a 363.30. Prelim winner Jesus Agundez, who opened the day with an impressive 416.60, took seventh in the finals with a 337.25 score, while Elisha Dees posted a 319.20 in the consolation round to improve to 13th overall.

Florida returns to the pool on Thursday for a full slate of events, beginning with the 100-yard back, 200-yard breast, 500-yard free and 50-yard free prelims events at 9:30 a.m. Diving prelims follow at 11:30 a.m. with the women's 3-meter and men's 1-meter competitions. Finals action kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with the 400 medley relay concluding swimming events before closing the night with the springboard diving finals at 6 p.m. All sessions will be streamed live on SECN+.
