Gators Build Their Lead Behind Five Event Wins on Day Three of Georgia Fall Invitational

ATHENS, Ga. – The No. 4/7 Florida Swimming & Diving programs continued its strong showing at the 2025 Georgia Fall Invitational on Thursday, combing for five event victories, 11 top-three finishes, 23 NCAA qualifying times and five program Top-10 times to extend both the men's and women's lead following day three.
The Gators swept the 500y freestyle event, with sophomore Julie Brousseau and freshman Ahmed Jaouadi delivering first-place finishes. Brousseau earned first with a qualifying time of 4:35.14, over four seconds faster than second place. Jaouadi matched her result on the men's side, recording a personal-best 4:10.72, which stands as the sixth-fastest time in program history.
Anita Bottazzo carried that momentum into the 200y breaststroke final, where the sophomore clocked the program's second-fastest time from lane eight to earn first with a career-best 2:06.97. Overall, the Gators had three place in the top-five with junior Molly Mayne finishing third (2:08.65) and freshman Grace Rabb taking fifth (2:08.89).
Senior Josh Liendo continued to impress in his individual events, winning the 50y free in 18.40 for the fastest DI time this season. Sophomore Alexander Painter joined his teammate in the top three, going 19.35 for third place.
Florida opened the finals session with a second-place finish from Catie Choate in the 100y backstroke, as the junior touched the wall in 51.68. Senior Aleksas Savickas also recorded a second-place finish in his respective event, going 1:53.86 in the 200y breast.
The women closed the night with the program's third-fastest 400 medley relay time, as Addison Reese, Bottazzo, Catie Choate and Lainy Kruger combined for an NCAA relay standard time of 3:28.23 to place second.
Diving
On the women's side, Maria Garcia and Camyla Monroy once again delivered a one-two finish on the 3-meter, securing the top two spots in both springboard events. Garcia improved from second in prelims (305.90) to capture the title with a 373.45, while Monroy followed her prelim-leading 342.55 with a 352.35 to take second. Alexa Fung appeared in the finals as well, placing sixth with a 268.50. In the consolation final, Ava Brinkman and Casey Greenberg took the top two positions, with Brinkman earning her second straight consolation win (263.10) to finish ninth overall and Greenberg following in tenth after posting a 256.60.
The men were highlighted by Jesus Agundez's runner-up finish on the 1-meter. After qualifying fourth with a 328.15, Agundez improved his score to 351.25 in finals to claim second. Jesus Gonzalez earned fourth place (330.95) and Conor Gesing finished seventh (300.25) in the men's final, while Elisha Dees placed fourth in the consolation final with a 298.15 for 12th overall.
