Ty Host and Henry Jefferson to face UCF for a spot in the championship match
ATLANTA, Ga. -- Florida men's tennis continues play at the ITA Southeastern Regional on Sunday at Georgia Tech. Top-seeded Ty Host and Henry Jefferson advanced to the doubles semifinals, where they will face UCF's Nicolas Oliveira and Clement Lemire. The Sunday match is set to begin at 10 a.m.
Host and Jefferson have been dominant so far, winning their first two matches 8-3 and 8-4 before beating Florida State's Justin Lyons and Azariah Rusher 8-3 on Saturday in the quarterfinals. The duo is now 4-1 together this fall.
Andreas Timini and Kevin Edengren also made a run in the doubles draw, reaching the quarterfinals with wins over Georgia and Georgia Tech. They fell to Georgia's Noah Johnston and Maxime Dubouch 8-6, in the day's final doubles match.
In singles, Alaa Trifi won a pair of three set matches to reach the round of 16 where he lost to Miami's Jakub Kroslak, 6-3, 6-3.
Roman Sancilio also earned two singles wins over the weekend. After a first-round bye in the qualifying draw, Sancilio cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 win over Joao Pimenta of Georgia State to earn a spot in the singles main draw.

ITA Regionals
ITA Regionals will take place at 13 different regions/sites across the country. Regionals is also an opportunity for athletes to qualify for the NCAA Doubles and Singles Championships. This tournament will qualify the two singles finalists from each region while only the doubles champion at each site will qualify for the NCAA Championships.
