GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida Head Women's Basketball Coach Tammi Reiss announced today that 6-4 Butler forward Mallory Miller has signed with the Gators.
"I'm so excited to welcome Mallory to our Gators family," said Reiss. "Mallory is a skilled, versatile offensive post. She can score on the low block with her back to the basket, and has the ability to face-up and shoot the three ball. Her offensive versatility fits our system perfectly.
"Mallory brings a great deal of experience as she started every game last season and averaged 25 minutes per contest. She is a great culture young woman, and checks every intangible box for me —work ethic, coachability, competitiveness, and hunger to improve her game through player development. Mallory has multiple years to develop her game with our staff and I cannot wait to watch her grow and help rebuild our program!"
The rising junior started 31 games for the Bulldogs last season, and averaged 9.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists while blocking more than a shot per game. Miller ranked sixth in the Big East in assist percentage (26.0) and block percentage (4.3), and finished in the top 25 in both defensive rebound percentage (17.3, 12th) and overall rebound percentage (10.5, 18th) a year ago.
An injury forced Miller to sit out the 2024-25 season, but as a freshman the year prior she played in 27 games, including four starts, at Arizona State. The Aberdeen, S.D. native average 3.2 points and 2.8 rebounds for the Sun Devils as a rookie.
Miller brings career highs of 25 points (vs. Villanova, Jan. 18, 2026), 10 rebounds (vs. Washington, Feb. 16, 2024), eight assists (at DePaul, Feb. 25, 2026) and four blocks (vs. Indiana State, Dec. 11, 2025) with her to Gainesville.
As a senior at Wolsey-Wessington High School, Miller was named a KELOLAND Media Group All-Star Girls Basketball Player of the Year finalist, and was nominated Miss Basketball 2023 for the state of South Dakota after posting per-game averages of 18.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists. She led Wolsey-Wessington to a 22-3 record that season, as well as an appearance in the state semifinals which marked the program's first appearance in the state tournament)
A two-sport standout, Miller was also a member of Wolsey-Wessington's volleyball team, leading it to the state semifinals where she earned first-team all-state honors in 2023 after being named to the second team in 2022.
Her sister Hannah recently completed her collegiate career playing for the North Dakota Fighting Hawks.
