Thomas Claims Second SEC Freshman of the Week Honor

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – For the second time this season, Townsen Thomas earned Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week honors, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Thomas batted .500 (6-for-12) on the week with two RBIs, two walks, a double and a triple, holding a .571 on-base percentage and slugging .750.
She recorded at least one hit in each of Florida's four games, including a pair of multi-hit games against Auburn.

In the Gators' series finale against Auburn on April 19, she recorded her first career triple.
Thomas was also named the SEC Freshman of the Week on March 17.
The Humble, Texas, native, is batting .362 in SEC play, the second-highest batting average on the team, with six doubles, two home runs and 12 RBIs.
