Tyler Lowder joins women's basketball staff as director of video and analytics

Florida Head Women's Basketball Coach Tammi Reiss announced today that the team has hired former Rhode Island Women's Basketball Video Coordinator Tyler Lowder as the Gators' director of video and analytics.
Lowder is known not just for his expertise in breaking down and analyzing video and advanced analytics, but for his ability to communicate and package that information in ways that are uniquely beneficial to the coaching staff and players. Those skills helped Reiss and the Rhode Island Rams to a 28-5 record in 2025-26, as well as the program's first NCAA Tournament berth in 30 years.
"I am thrilled to have Tyler join the Gators' Women's Basketball staff," said Reiss. "Tyler has such a passion for growth and knowledge, and I have watched him take tremendous strides in his video coordinator position and on the court with his aspirations on developing into an assistant coach.
"Tyler understands culture and championship qualities and what it takes to build a program. He is passionate, has a relentless work ethic and is committed to the growth of our players. Tyler's best quality is his growth mind set and persistent effort in improving his basketball knowledge whether it be in video, analytics, player development or Xs and Os philosophies. Tyler will be a great asset to our Gator staff and especially to our players"
"I am incredibly grateful to Coach Reiss for the opportunity to join her as we build something special here at Florida," said Lowder. "Coach Reiss took a chance on me two years ago at Rhode Island and my experience working with her since has been invaluable. I look forward to being a part of this elite staff as we pursue our goals of developing this program and bringing a championship to Gainesville!"
Lowder was on Reiss' Rhode Island staff for two seasons following a three-year stint as head student basketball manager with the Indiana women's basketball program. The Hoosiers ranked as high as number two in the nation, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament in each of Lowder's three seasons in Bloomington, where he supervised and coordinated the efforts of over 30 managers.
No stranger to working with elite athletes, Lowder assisted in the development, skill enhancement and individual success of players like 2023 No. 7 overall WNBA draft pick Grace Berger and All-Americans Mackenzie Holmes and Sara Scalia.
He gained valuable insights into elite coaching strategies and team management under the mentorship of the 2023 AP Coach of the Year and two-time Big Ten Coach of the Year, Teri Moren, fostering a deep understanding of the dynamics required for success at the highest levels of women's basketball. In 2023, he was named the USG Student Manager of the Year for women's basketball and earned a Grow the Game All-American Manager nod.
