Seven Gators Named To NFCA All-Gulf Region Teams

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) selected seven members of the Florida softball team to the All-Gulf Region Team, the organization announced on Thursday afternoon.
The Gators have now had seven all-region selections in three straight seasons, matching a single-season best, which has now been matched five times in program history.
Townsen Thomas (OF), Taylor Shumaker (OF), Jocelyn Erickson (DP or Utility/Non-Pitcher) and Keagan Rothrock (P) earned sports on the first team, while Kendall Grover (3B), Kenleigh Cahalan (SS) and Cassidy McLellan (OF) each landed on the all-region second team.
Grover is now a four-time all-region selection, but this is her first as a Gator. She was a second- team selection in 2023 and 2025 and an all-region third team member in 2023 at Eastern Illinois.
Erickson makes her third career appearance as an NFCA All-Region selection and earned her second first team honor. The senior earned first team honors in 2024 and was a third-team selection in 2025.
Shumaker earns first-team honors for the second straight season, while Rothrock earns her second all-region selection, first as a first team member, after being selected to the second team as a freshman in 2024.
Cahalan earns her first all-region honor as a Gator and second in her career. She was a 2024 third-team selection in 2023 at Alabama.
McLellan and Thomas are both first-time honorees.
Florida's seven selections are the most of any school in the Gulf Region.
