Five Gators earn ITA Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete honors

The Gators were honored as ITA All-Academic Team for the eighth time.
Gainesville, Fla. -- Five Florida Gators earned 2026 Division I Men's ITA Scholar-Athlete honors as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association for their success in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year. Roman Sancilio, Adithya Ganesan, Andreas Timini, Tanapatt Nirundorn and Kevin Edengren were among the 1,008 named to the list.
The team received additional recognition by being named an ITA All-Academic Team for 2026, marking the eighth time the Gators have earned the honor.
To qualify as an ITA Scholar-Athlete, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale during the academic year. Teams must post a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher to receive ITA All-Academic Team recognition.
To make the ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale), all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form and all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
The academic success complemented another strong season on the court, as the Gators concluded the 2025-2026 campaign ranked No. 22. Florida advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament and compiled a 17-14 record.
