Men's Tennis Wraps Up Play at the Farnsworth Invitational

Princeton, N.J. – Florida men's tennis wrapped up its appearance at the Farnsworth Invitational hosted by Princeton on Sunday afternoon.
Roman Sancilio and Chen Ye represented the Gators in singles and doubles competitions. Sancilio made his season debut on Friday, appearing in four matches to kick off the invitational.
In doubles play, Sancilio and Ye fell to Dartmouth's Enrique Collar and Kornel Halmos 8-5 on Friday morning. The Gator duo bounced back Friday afternoon topping Mitric and Wen of Princeton, 8-7(5).
Ye won his first singles match on Friday morning defeating Collar 7-5, 3-6, 6-4. Sancilio picked up his first win of the season on Saturday in singles defeating Princeton's Evan Wen 6-1, 6-0.
The tandem of Gators fell to their opponents in doubles play in both round three and four of the invitational.
Sancilio closed the weekend battling Denny Bao of Dartmouth in a close contest, but lost 7-5, 6-4.
The Gators are back in action in Orlando on Friday, Oct. 2 for the Bedford Cup.
