Mentorship
From professional careers in the NFL or traditional career marketplace, to excellent husbands, fathers, and community leaders, our Swamp Alumni are able to serve as personal and professional mentors to the next generation of Gators through The Congregation.
The name Congregation comes from the term used for a group of alligators - further cementing the brotherhood of past, present, and future Florida Gators. The Congregation encompasses the vision of a community of wise and trusted mentors who cultivate, connect, and counsel our football scholar-athletes’ full potentials.
- Cultivate verb | cul • ti • vate People do not care how much you know, until they know how much you care. Mentors will nurture a meaningful relationship that fosters a mutual respect.
- Connect verb | con • nect Mentors will establish communication and networking channels that will preserve the depth and longevity of the relationship.
- Counsel verb | coun • sel Mentors will provide wise, practical, and transforming instruction that serve to both challenge and support their mentee.
To create environments for organic networking, GatorMade engages mentees and mentors in practical life skill development opportunities with social components for connections.
