AS A SOPHOMORE ( 1991) β NCAA uneven bars runner-up with a mark of 9.85β¦also earned All-America honors for placing seventh in the balance beam finals at the NCAA Championships with a 8.95β¦posted the second-highest all-around score (39.00) in the schoolβs history in the season openerβ¦tied for top honors in the Southeastern Conference uneven bars competition, matching the meet-record score of 9.85β¦member of the All-SEC teamβ¦took third in both the NCAA Southeast Region balance beam (9.775) and all-around (38.60) competitionsβ¦matched the school record for the uneven bars (9.90) three times as a sophomoreβ¦set career-best balance beam tally of 9.90 in the season opener and matched it again at the First Union Bank Senior Nightβ¦claimed top honors in four uneven bars, two balance beam and one floor exercise competitions in 1991β¦posted a then career-best floor exercise score of 9.80 twice in 1991.
AS A FRESHMAN (1990) β Took top honors in the Burger King Challenge uneven bars competition with a season-best mark of 9.80β¦posted a 9.80 to take top honors in the Shands Invitational balance beam competitionβ¦claimed top honors in three uneven bars and three balance beam contests in 1990β¦added the floor exercise to her repertoire after the seasonβs third meetβ¦runner-up in the Michigan State dual meetβs floor exercise competition (9.60).
AS A FRESHMAN (1989) β Tore right anterior cruciate ligament during her balance beam dismount in the season opener and was forced to sit out the remainder of the season recovering from surgeryβ¦redshirted the 1989 campaign.
PRIOR TO FLORIDA β Captain of the 1988 Canadian Olympic gymnastics teamβ¦placed second in the 1988 Canadian Olympic Trials to earn a spot on the β88 squadβ¦second in all-around at 1988 Canadian Championshipsβ¦took second in both the vault and bars, plus took third in the floor at the 1987 Golden Sands Meetβ¦tied for first in the uneven bars at 1986 Pacific Alliance Championshipβ¦bars champion at 1985 Belgium Gym Mastersβ¦1983 Senior National all-around championβ¦coached by Leonid Gravkosky and Debbie Vidmarβ¦member of Winstonettes Gymnastics Club.
