2022 Gators Soccer Winter Prospect Discovery Event - Feb. 13

Sandy Davison begins her first season with Gators soccer in fall 2021.

Davison coached alongside Amato the last two seasons in Tucson, which included helping the 2019 Wildcats earn a NCAA Tournament berth.

Other Collegiate Coach Positions:
Prior to arriving in Tucson, Davison spent the 2018 season with the Indiana Hoosiers. Davison played a sizeable role in the Hoosiers offensive success that season, as the Hoosiers posted 33 goals with 39 assists – the highest for the program in five seasons.

Davison was at Washington State for four seasons prior to moving to the Big Ten. During her stay in Pullman, the Cougars advanced to three NCAA Tournaments, including advancing to the Round of 16 in 2017. Two recent NWSL draftees - Morgan Weaver (Portland Thorns - 2019) and Makamae Gomera-Stevens (Houston Dash - 2021) – were recruited and coached by Davison in Pullman.

Davison was volunteer coach at Louisville (2013) and Cincinnati (2012). The Cardinals advanced to NCAA Tournament action, took second in the American Athletic Conference and held the No. 24 position in the final poll of the 2013 season. Davison also spent a season as the volunteer assistant coach at Cincinnati (2012).

Her first collegiate coaching position was an assistant at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. The Spartans shared second in the 2011 Southern Conference standings.

Club Experience:
Davison worked extensively with club teams in soccer-rich areas like Texas, Georgia, Florida and California. Before stepping into the collegiate coaching ranks, Davison was the girls’ divisional director for the Sereno Soccer Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., coaching U-16 through U-18 age group to multiple state championships and a duo of teams ranked top-25 nationally. After several years with Challenge Soccer Club in Houston, Texas, Davison was recruited back to the program to assist with developing and growing the Challenge South Soccer Club, an offshoot in South Houston whose membership quintupled in one year under Davison's guidance.

She also directed the girls' portions of the then newly formed Space City FC in Houston; the Weston Fury Soccer Club in Weston, Fla.; the Pleasanton Rage Soccer Club in Pleasanton, Calif.; and the Davis Youth Soccer Club in Davis, Calif.; and was a division director for the Tophat Soccer Club in Atlanta, Ga.

Davison has worked US Soccer Youth and US Club Soccer National Team ID camps, and joined the US Soccer Scouting Network Staff in 2010. Davison was also a longtime US Youth Soccer ODP regional staff coach, a US Soccer U-14 Girls National ID Camp staff coach and an ODP state team coach in multiple state associations.

Throughout her career, Davison developed and trained players who went on to play in the former WUSA and with youth national and regional teams. She also had great success facilitating the college process for prospective student-athletes.

More About Davison:
Her coaching career started when she was working as a licensed physical therapist assistant. A client invited her to come out to coach a youth team.

Davison holds a United States Soccer Federation "A" Coaching License. She attended Sacramento State University from 1984-85 after spending two years at Pfieffer College in Meisenheimer, N.C., where she played basketball and club soccer before injuries ended her competitive career.
