Florida Volleyball Set to Host Pair of SEC Matches

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida volleyball returns to the O'Dome this weekend for a pair of conference matchups, hosting No. 25 Missouri on Friday for the annual Dig Pink Match before welcoming Vanderbilt on Sunday for the programs' first-ever meeting.

On Florida Volleyball:
- The Gators enter the weekend continuing their SEC slate with a 2-2 conference record. Florida ranks among the league's top teams offensively, sitting third in kills per set (13.83 per set) and fifth in assists (12.55 per set). Setter Alexis Stucky stands fourth in SEC play with 10.39 assists per set, while freshmen Lily Hayes and Milica Vidacic are is eighth in digs per set (3.28) and ninth in hitting efficiency (.368), respectfully, while Jordyn Byrd ranks 10th overall in kills per set (3.88).
- After a standout start to the 2025 season, Jordyn Byrd was one of 17 players added to the AVCA National Player of the Year Watchlist, presented by Nike Volleyball, joining the 30 nominees originally announced in August. The Sarasota, Fla., native has posted double-digit kills in 12 of her 13 collegiate matches and continues to lead the Gators in both kills and points.
- Redshirt junior setter Alexis Stucky recorded her first career triple-double in Florida's 3–1 win over Auburn on Oct. 3. She tallied 42 assists, 12 digs, and a career-high 10 kills while hitting .615. Stucky is the first SEC player to record a triple-double this season and is one of only seven Division I players to do so in 2025.
- Picked fourth in the 2025 SEC Preseason Poll with 182 points, Missouri is 1-3 in SEC play after opening league play with two ranked matchups against No. 9 Texas A&M and No. 2 Texas. The Tigers also own a win over Arkansas and a loss to Oklahoma.
- Mizzou returns seven letter winners from last season and have 10 newcomers (six freshman and four transfers).
- Senior transfer outside hitter Caylen Alexander and senior libero Maya Sands were named to AVCA's Preseason Player of the Year Watch List with
- Nationally, the Tigers rank 31st in aces per set (1.91), 39th in total aces (107), 33rd in blocks per set (2.59), and 43rd in total blocks (145.0). Individually, Maya Sands ranks 31st in the nation in digs per set (4.64), while Tyrah Ariail sits 31st in hitting percentage (.407).
- Within the SEC, Missouri stands eighth in hitting percentage (.254), seventh in assists per set (12.27), eighth in kills per set (13.23), fifth in blocks per set (2.59), second in service aces per set (1.91), and seventh in digs per set (13.86).
- Individually, Tyrah Ariail ranks fifth in the league in hitting percentage (.407), Regan Haith is seventh (.373), and Marina Crownover is 10th in assists per set (8.89). Maya Sands leads the SEC in digs per set (4.64), while Alexander Caylen ranks 10th in points per set (4.43).
- Former Kentucky associate head coach Anders Nelson was hired as the reintroduced volleyball program's first head coach
- Vanderbilt was picked to finish 12th in the SEC Preseason Coaches Poll and is currently 1-3 in league play. The Commodores earned their first conference win last Sunday against Arkansas after dropping matches to No. 2 Texas, No. 9 Texas A&M, and Oklahoma.
- The Commodores rank 10th in the conference in kills per set (12.94) and seventh in aces per set (1.47). Individually, Jaquelyn Moore sits eighth in hitting percentage (.368), Isabella Bradford ranks fourth in assists per set (9.84), and Kamryn Chaney stands third in aces per set (0.51) and sixth in points per set (4.57). Hailee Mack also ranks eighth in digs per set (3.78).
- Vanderbilt's Team 1 consists of 11 freshmen and redshirt freshmen, but six transfer student-athletes bring veteran experience to the Dores' young roster.
- Vanderbilt played a challenging non-conference schedule with two ranked opponents and opened SEC play with two top 10 teams, Texas and Texas A&M
