GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Freshman Courtney Hogan scored her first collegiate goal, and Florida withstood a late Auburn push while playing a player down to earn a 1-1 draw with the No. 25 Tigers on Thursday at Donald R. Dizney Stadium.

Florida moved to 6-6-4 overall and 2-4-3 in Southeastern Conference play. Auburn is 8-2-6 and 4-2-3. Each team earned a point in the SEC standings.

How It Happened
Auburn took the lead at 20:17. Kelly Gordon's cross found Gracie Brown, whose header sent the ball across the face of goal. Hannah Bell then touched it to Crosby for a finish at the far post. It was Crosby's first goal of the season.
Florida answered at 30:42 with a sequence that began in its own half. Abbott played a long ball to Bailey, who headed it wide to Zoe Main. Main drove to the end line and crossed into the middle of the penalty area, where Hogan finished with a low, right-footed shot from 12 yards.
The Gators nearly moved ahead before halftime when Katie Johnston's shot from the top of the penalty area struck the crossbar with 1:02 remaining.
Neither team broke through in the second half. Florida goalkeeper Paloma Peña saved a shot by Tahirah Turnage-Morales in the 82nd minute. Main's free kick was nearly scored by Hogan in the 84th.
Bailey received a red card at 87:07, leaving Florida to finish with 10 players. Abbott's block in the closing seconds on Dylan Driver's shot helped the Gators secure the draw.
Auburn held a 10-9 edge in shots, while Florida led 3-2 in shots on goal. Peña finished with one save, and Auburn's Ayana Yapo made two.
Florida Coach Nick Zimmerman Said:
"I think the biggest thing is, again, is continuing to do what we do and, continue to do the things that have got us in the spot. I thought it was a really good first half, dominated possession. Second half, they changed shape, and it just started to get more transitional stretch. That's what teams that definitely wanna play against us is stretched.
"So credit to the group at the end fighting, competing, battling, Norah [Abbott] with the big time block. You know, you're in that position where you're down a player with two minutes to go. All you need is one chance, and, we went for it. And then at the end, credit to the to the team for preserving the draw."

- Hogan is the 14th different Gator to score a goal in 2026. That trails only Arkansas' 15 among 2026 SEC programs. It is the second highest number of different goal scorers in program history, with 2001 being the last season 14 different Gators scored.
- Main's assist on Hogan's goal extends her team assist lead to seven. She's accumulated 17 points as a senior off of five goals and seven assists – a new career high as she tallied 14 points in both the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
-
Seven assists is the highest for a Gator since Gabby Seiler turned in eight in 2017.
- Auburn has now conceded just five goals this season. Only California Baptist of the Big West Conference has fewer goals allowed (4) this season.
