No. 4/7 Softball Picks Up Midweek Win Over FGCU

The Gators are now 11-2 all-time and 6-2 at home against the Eagles.
Taylor Shumaker, Jocelyn Erickson and Kenleigh Cahalan each had multi-hit outings, with Cahalan leading the team with a 3-for-4 day with two doubles and three RBIs.
Shumaker and Cassidy McLellan each hit solo home runs, bringing Florida's season total to 86, tied with 2009 for the sixth-most home runs in a single-season in program history.
McLellan now has 10 home runs on the season, becoming the fourth Gator in double-digits, including Erickson (19), Cahalan (15) and Shumaker (14).
Kendall Grover recorded her second multi-RBI game in a row, driving in two with an RBI single and a sacrifice fly.
In the circle, Olivia Miller (7-0) picked up the win, tossing three scoreless innings, allowing just two hits with a strikeout. Miller is now 14-0 in her career.
Keagan Rothrock recorded the final two outs of the game, earning the fourth save of her junior season and sixth of her career.
As a team, the Gators had four doubles on the night, bringing their season total to 94, which ranks fourth-most in a single season in program history.
Florida is chasing the 2024 team that tallied a program record 112 doubles.
Up next, the Gators host Auburn for a three-game series from April 17-19. The series opener is set for Friday at 6 p.m. on SEC Network+.
