The entire Gator team joined the 10 players celebrated at the post-match Senior Night ceremony. The Gators used goals from two seniors - Zoe Main and Hannah Jibril - to win 2-0 Thursday over Youngstown State.
No. 21 Florida Tops Youngstown State 2-0 on Senior Night

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Seniors Zoe Main and Hannah Jibril provided the scoring on Senior Night as No. 21 Florida defeated Youngstown State 2-0 Thursday at Donald R. Dizney Stadium.
Main scored in the opening half before Jibril added a second-half goal to help the Gators open September action with a win.
Thursday's Scoring
Freshman Lael Hill started the attack by sending the ball into the Youngstown State half for Kyra Taylor. She turned and played a square ball to Addy Hess, whose pass into the penalty area was chased down by Main. She scored from 15 yards, placing her shot inside the far post at 7:43.
Florida's seniors combined again in the 61st minute. Freshman Mia Gray played the ball forward to Main near the top of the penalty area. Main returned the ball to Gray, who touched it outside to Jibril. Jibril's left-footed shot from above the penalty arc doubled the Gators' advantage.
Florida outshot Youngstown State 33-3 and held a 13-1 advantage in shots on goal. and held a 13-1 advantage in shots on goal. The 33 shots was the highest for the Gators since recording 37 in 3-1 win versus Georgia Southern on March 11, 2021.

Main has scored each of Florida's three goals within the opening 10 minutes of matches this season. Thursday's goal at 7:43 followed her opening goal at 7:09 last Thursday against Jacksonville. Her goal 1:31 into the match at UCF was the second-fastest season-opening goal in the program's 32-season history.

Florida recognized the careers of 10 seniors Thursday in a post-match ceremony: Lena Bailey, Paris Bice, Emma Duval, Montelene Dymond, Jayden Emmanuel, Hannah Jibril, Zoe Main, Kelsey Smith, Kyra Taylor and Avery Upton.
