The Gators have now won four matches in a row.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Ole Miss couldn't keep pace with No. 5 Florida volleyball on Sunday afternoon, as the Gators rolled to a 3-0 victory (25-21, 25-15, 25-18) in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center behind an impressive offensive performance.
The Gators (17-2, 8-1 SEC) outhit Ole Miss .393-.128 and held the edge in kills (45-30), assists (40-26) and points (53-35) over the Rebels (8-12, 2-7 SEC). No Rebel recorded double-digit kills. Kamryn Chaney extended her streak to seven straight matches with more than 10 kills, tallying a match-high 13, while Alec Rothe added 11 kills of her own with a .588 hitting percentage. Taylor Parks was once again effective running the offense, dishing out 35 assists and serving two of Florida's three aces.
Defensively, Rothe's four blocks led the way at the net, as the Orange and Blue held a 5-2 advantage in team blocks. Lily Hayes led all players with nine digs, while Selena Leban and Logan King added seven and six digs, respectively.
Ole Miss was led by Jaidyn Hartsfield with nine kills, five digs and a block. Vivianna Samaniego added 13 assists and six digs for the Rebels.
Sunday marked Florida's 57th consecutive victory over Ole Miss, a streak dating to the 1990 season.

Quotes from the Court
Head Coach Ryan Theis
…on the consistency during Sunday's match
"I thought we sided-out consistently today, and that's how gaps get created. No blocks in the first, but I think 17 kills. Some matches the formula's going to be more kills, some matches more blocks, but this one was all about sideout."
…on what makes this Florida team so tough
"Besides our stats, I would say grit. These girls get after it and they don't back down. They're a lot of fun to be around and if someone pushes, they'll push back."
Fourth-Year OH Kamryn Chaney
…on how the team approached Sunday's match
"We definitely approached each set with intentional kills and making sure we kept the ball in play. Ole Miss has a really great hitter, especially when they're in system, so we knew that we had to either take the setter out or take the hitters out and make it harder for them to score so we could have another chance at attacking."
…on her overall play
"I'm just trying to get the best touches for my team, especially the middles. If I can get a great touch, we can get a great dig and we can set Alec and everybody, and that's what I'm happy to do. Taylor [Parks] has done a good job of putting me in good situations with good blockers, whether it's one or it might be two, but she gives me some really good openings. Overall, my team is really gritty, so we're going to get that ball up regardless and I'm going to take an efficient swing, and if I don't take an efficient swing it will be a smart shot."
