Hot Bats Propel Florida Over Arkansas To Even Series
Sunday, March 29, 2026 | Softball
The No. 3/5 Gators (33-3, 9-2 SEC) tallied 15 hits, their most in Southeastern Conference play this season, 10 of which went for extra bases.
Five different Florida players had multi-hit games and four Gators, Ella Wesolowski, Kenleigh Cahalan, Kendall Grover and Cassidy McLellan, hit home runs in the victory.
Florida, the nation's leader in doubles, added to its total with six on the night, the most two-baggers by the Gators in an SEC game since March 29, 2008, against LSU, just a day shy of exactly 18 years ago.
Katelynn Oxley (3-0) earned her second SEC victory of the season, tossing 4.1 innings, allowing four runs on three hits and four walks with a strikeout.
Keagan Rothrock earned her third save of the season, tossing the final two innings, allowing just one run off a solo home run and recording two strikeouts.
